Martina
Martina started dancing at a young age and trained in ballet, jazz, tap and modern. Her journey in dance lead Martina to bellydance 7 years ago, and quickly discovered she had found her passion. Martina has been fortunate to have had lovely teachers guide her unto this path. Her training has led her to the likes of Rachel Brice, Sharon Kihara,Kami Liddle,Zoe Jakes,Heather Stants,Unmata,Tiffany Bisconer,Moria Chappel,Samantha Hasthorpe,Carolena of FatChance Bellydance Ansuya, Jillina,Sahra Saeeda,Dalia Carella and of course her current teacher Suhaila Salimpour. She is proud to say she is level 2 certified in the Suhaila Salimpour format.
In 2007 Martina becoame the founder and creative director of the Tribal Fusion Troupe, Turquoise.
You can find Martina teaching in several locations and workshops around the lower mainland, here in Vancouver.She is always working on new projects and is currently on developing a tribal fusion show that will feature her troupe,Turquoise.
Martina resides in the lovely community of Steveston with her two boys and husband Tony.
